Wheel Throwing
Private one-on-one pottery lessons with a professional potter. Choose between throwing on the wheel, slab building, hand building, or practical and theoretical experience with a deep dive on a particular category of your choosing.
Good for all levels from beginning to expert. Whether you are just wanting to get back into ceramics and it's been a while or you've never touched clay before you will benefit from a session.
(Beginner lessons are recommended to take 2 hours for their first lesson)
Cost of event:
All lessons at Rovang Ceramics that are one on one or as a couple are $100 per person per hour which includes the studio rental, instructors expertise, clay, and kiln firing costs.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
°Once a lesson has concluded you may stay on your wheel/space at the table for as long as you like to practice and continue your project for only $20 an hour. Clay can be purchased after your lesson has concluded by the pound.
°You may pay the experts staffing Rovang Ceramics to finish your pieces in the days following your lesson. Most pieces need to be trimmed, and if you want to eat or drink from them they must be glazed. Shipping costs can be determined as well if needed.
Trimming: 1st piece = $15 (each additional piece is $5)
Glazing: 1st piece = $15 (each additional piece is $5)
